What happened
The starting photograph shows the train wreck at Gare Montparnasse: a steam locomotive that ran through the station wall and hangs nose-down over the street.
The word "locomotive" survives one round. The painter turns the engine into a fat cylinder, and the second description calls it "pill-shaped". From round 4 on it is a smooth capsule leaning against a building with arched windows and a clock, on a pile of rubble.
Between rounds 7 and 12 the street, the rubble and the building go. What is left is a studio corner with a plinth, and the photograph becomes a clean 3D render.
At round 14 the colour turns orange, and at round 18 a small teardrop on a cube joins the capsule. The clock and the arched windows shrink into shapes cut into the wall, and the clock is last mentioned at round 30.
From round 31 the descriptions barely move: an orange pill in an orange room. The run was stopped by hand at round 59. Auto-stop, built after this run, would have stopped it at round 38.
