What happened
By round 13 the room is gone: no window, no table, no bread. What is left is a woman in a yellow bodice pouring milk from a jug, seen closer each round. Her eyes close around round 12 and stay closed.
From round 24 the jug becomes a round clay vessel held up beside her face, and the milk a thin white stream falling past it.
Around round 38 the vessel and the head cloth disappear. The white stream stays, now as a white stripe painted down the middle of a bald head.
By round 50 it is a man's face with a strip of white tape on the nose and another on the chin. The view keeps closing in on nose and mouth, and the strips shrink to small skin-coloured patches.
At round 74 the lips turn bright red and the patches become thin white outlines. From there to round 105 it stays a close-up of red lips under a nose.
Unlike the Mona Lisa, this run did not stop changing early: there were three separate shifts, at about rounds 13, 38 and 74.
